Silver has been a professional court reporter since February 2009. After completing her studies at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Legal and Realtime Reporting, Silver did some freelance court reporting in Edmonton, AB, for a short while before moving back home to Vancouver, BC.
Silver has been working as a court reporter downtown Vancouver since April 2009 and is a member of the BC Shorthand Reporters Association and the National Court Reporters Association. Silver also has past memberships with the Alberta Shorthand Reporters Association and the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, Edmonton Chapter.
Prior to completing her studies in court reporting Silver was a professional dog trainer for six years both in Vancouver and Edmonton. She ran her own business, Mary Puppins Pet Care, while in Vancouver and worked in various capacities in Edmonton including freelance dog training under her own business, Paws and Effect Dog Training Services.
