Jim D. Lutes, CA, CF

Jim is the Atlantic Managing Partner for Ernst & Young LLP and has over 30 years of strategic advisory and operations experience. He has extensive financial advisory and transaction experience in health and life sciences, real estate and construction, manufacturing and distribution, and technology.

Jim also leads the Merger and Acquisition Practice and Structured Finance Practices in Atlantic Canada. Jim was formerly the Practice Director of the Ernst & Young Corporate Finance Practice in Toronto and also served as the National Director of the Health and Life Sciences and Consumer Products Corporate Finance Practice. Jim has advised on over 50 closed transactions with value exceeding $1.8 billion.

During a break in his career with Ernst & Young Jim also acted as President and COO of a high growth publicly listed manufacturing business with 2300 employees and $650 million in revenue with operations in North America, Europe, and Asia. He was recipient of the Ontario Region manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Cum Laude from Dalhousie University, a CA in Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, the CF Corporate Finance Specialty in Canada, England and Wales, and is a North American qualified CEPA.
