Don is mostly about print, with a bit of web, and a whole lot of arguing thrown in. He got into the industry before desktop publishing, even doing a bit of research on Quark ver. 1 for one employer back in the day. Now ancient and jaded, he still finds time to cringe at requests for "We need something more business-like and professional. Try Arial centered, bold, and all caps."
Lately, he's also ventured into the restaurant trade with his immediate family, where years of doing dishes at home has hardly prepared him for the scalding heat of a professional kitchen and wrestling with the glass washer. His latest plan is to convince his wife and step-daughter that a menu of one item, like toast, served on a paper napkin is the way to go.

Man, this was waaay back in the day when Kwantlen was a community college. The two campuses I went to were (1) a bunch of portables, and (2) some space in an industrial park. Fun times, and yet I think I learned one or two things. Maybe three.
