April 1996 — January 1998 (1 year 10 months)
I was tasked with various roles, not the least important of which was liaison and technical support for students, as well as hardware/software/network maintenance.
I worked directly, hands-on, with the students, and in my time there I worked with over 200 individuals. I helped explain and provided direction for all aspects of their technical education, including Print, Digital Image processing, Video and 3D, as well as interactive media (CD-Rom, internet, etc).
As hardware/software maintainer, I would install/diagnose operating systems, applications, utilities, even swap out /installhardware when needed.
For networking maintainer, I managed the user access system, remote file backup, internal routing and IP designation, as well as running cables and diagnosing problems.
My favorite role was Production Room support, where we would help graduates produce their portfolio peices, lending technical support as well as creative and technical direction. 3D modeling, animation, and rendering, vIdeo composition, illustration and image manipulation. We did it all.
