Sean Walberg’s Summary

I'm a network guy who loves Unix/Linux. I solve problems.

I work with networks: LAN, WAN, Internet, Voice over data or traditional TDM. I'm also adept at running web farms, and Internet infrastructure such as email and DNS. I'm a former developer turned systems administrator turned network engineer which gives me a deep understanding of the technologies I work with.

My primary focus on the network side is on Cisco and Check Point products. On the Unix side, I'm most familiar with Fedora/RHAS and Solaris though picking up other stuff is never a problem.

I'm not just a gearhead, I can also communicate. I've written a book on Check Point, co-authored one on consumer wireless, and several articles on various topics from VoIP to Unix performance tuning for O'Reilly, IBM, Linux Journal, and other places.

Sean Walberg’s Specialties:

Internet routing (BGP), security, WAN routing and network infrastructure. Linux/Unix administration, tuning, security, and Internet hosting. IP and traditional telephony. Writing on the above topics.
