Ronald Schouten’s Summary
I have extensive web development experience from having worked on projects ranging from highly trafficked, multi-lingual websites to Rich Internet Applications. I consider myself a "web athlete" capable of working through obscure browser incompatibilities or applying my web design skills but feel equally at home delving into batch processes, server-side programming, or server administration.
In my current position, I perform the role of a Front-end Engineer building highly dynamic web applications using technologies such as: X/HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including a wide variety of APIs and libraries), Java, Spring, JSP, Velocity, and more. However, through personal projects, I am also working with Python, the Django Framework, Google APIs, and Postgres.
Currently my goals include working with Python/Django in a high traffic environment and bringing my skills and experience to a team to help develop successful products I can be proud of.
