Specializing in interface design and information visualization, I did website development on a freelance basis for many years, working primarily for people in the creative sector: architects, filmmakers, journalists, writers and artists, and also some larger projects for associations and businesses. I work with hand-coded HTML, CSS, MIVA Merchant eCommerce software, social (web 2.0) media, and provided site hosting using the excellent company Pair. A lot of my web work is done in Flash and if I had any time would be developing my skills with the Flash communications system Flex.

Bruce Mau Design is internationally recognized for sophisticated design solutions across the broadest possible range of projects, from creating identity profiles for entire countries to local retail interior design, book and product design.
As Project Manager, I coordinated the efforts of a design team of seven, three senior and four junior designers. My work included creating pitch documents, budgeting, scheduling, site inspections and quality control. In some cases, I also contributed creatively, for example, authoring a brand bible for the Canadian clothing company ROOTS, and producing a multimedia presentation for Indigo Books.
