The Orthodox Union is the largest "Kashrus" organization in the United States. "Kosher" for the uninitiated means ensuring that a product meets all dietary requirements as prescribed by the Five Books of the Torah (Jewish Bible). With over tens of thousands of products on file the OU along with a highly successful track record, this is an organization with high regard in the Jewish community at large. They also have sub-organizations like NCSY, which focuses on bringing spiritually unaffiliated Jewish teens to their roots, and Yachad, which focuses on helping special children in coping with society.
My role there as an intern for the MIS department was to ensure optimal technical support for the rest of the employees, as well as upgrading the workstations to the latest software and hardware at the time.

Touro College is a multi-campus institution focused in the Greater New York area, as well as the rest of the world. Not to be confused with a regular college, Touro is a full-fledged university that has a number of PhD programs.
My Bachelors degree involved taking numerous Programming and Networking classes, as well as an intensive core curriculum. I have been fortunate in that I am able to use my studies from here as a base for overall skills that I'm picking up in the "real world."
