President at Volunteer Prince George
British Columbia, Canada
I am fresh out of school with an interest and background in all areas of business. My past experience is a great foundation to what I can do. I am actively looking for a new path along with new goals to accomplish.
(Non-Profit Organization Management industry)
August 2007 — Present (2 years 8 months)
Volunteer Prince George is a non-profit organization that promotes, enhances, and supports volunteerism. We primarily help non-profit organizations by providing different training, promotions, and help finding volunteers. I previously held the Vice President position for a one year term and I am currently serving as President for a one year term.
(Mental Health Care industry)
January 2007 — Present (3 years 3 months)
I have worked at this job while attending school. Although this job has no relation to my education it allowed me to work full time while attending school full time. It has also given me a different perspective on life as this area of work is not an everyday thing. I have worked as a Residential Care Worker up until February of 2010, after that I assumed the role of the Weekend Program Manager.
(Renewables & Environment industry)
1996 — 2006 (10 years )
I started this company when I was in Grade 5. There was a need for a business in the recycling industry within the Queen Charlotte Islands. Joe's Bottle Depot is backed by a contract with Encorp a government company that deals with the recycling needs within British Columbia. The company was run by me and is still in the family operating and growing every year.
(Food & Beverages industry)
2002 — 2005 (3 years )
This is a privatized Coca-cola distributorship on the Queen Charlotte Islands. The company is family owned. I worked closely with my father in running the business. I learned all responsibilities that went along with operating this business. Tasks included inventory management, sales, customer relations, and logistics. I had a great opportunity to learn the management responsibility at a young age.
Under Graduate , commerce , 2005 — 2010 (expected)
I finish my degree in March with a double major in finance and general business.
Finance, management, investing, soccer, hockey, reading, and volunteer work.
