Storyboard Artist | Story Consultant [Owner, See the Script Media]
Vancouver, Canada Area
After a ten year career as a graphic designer in Montreal, I came to Vancouver to study classical animation. Already armed with strong composition and design skills, I discovered I had a knack for storyboarding.
Having a love of film, comedy and acting only sweetened the deal, so it’s the path I’ve stayed on since 1997. I try to bring as much of those skills to every storyboard I do. I’ve worked on a wide variety of shows over the years and teach Storyboarding at the very school I studied at.
I have plans to expand my career in visual storytelling with the use of the web and good old fashioned pencils and paper. If you want a few tips on storyboarding, feel free to visit my blog.
- Strong visual storytelling skills
- Seeing the story as a whole...and willing to give an opinion on it
- Enjoy boarding character based and gag-driven scripts
- Finding and fixing weak story points where possible
- Respecting deadlines
