I will likely be completing my masters in May of 2010 and I am currently considering all options for what to do after my masters, be they academic, or industrial. I enjoy problem solving (to a degree), creating systems that others can use (especially highly usable systems), and coordinating efforts on the above.
My research interests in the field of Software Engineering are based on the belief that the maintenance of software systems is an increasingly complex task. This is especially so when working on a code base to which the developer is new. My area of focus is specifically into how developers search for determine the relevance of code elements for a specific task to which they are working, as well as how tools can support developers in better performing these tasks. I am currently workin on my MSc in the Evolutionary Software Engineering group under the supervision of Jonathan Sillito.
