I have very recently started on a very exciting new project to bring a business accelerator and co-working space to Ottawa. This is a new model aimed at accelerating the rate and probability of success for very early stage businesses. The concept is based around developing a collaborative culture that fosters the friendly spirit of competition. I have secured a space in Downtown Ottawa at 246 Queen Street on Leap Day (29-Feb-2008) and the adventure begins.

I am a certified management consultant and generalist. I have a broad knowledge and understanding of business, technology and people. These are the three essential ingredients for companies looking to grow and expand their business. My typical client is knowledge based business with 2 – 7ish employees, looking for their first round of seed funding and need help with the business side of commercialization. The types of companies I have helped range from wireless start-ups looking to refine their product features and target market to medical service based businesses looking to expand their operations in North America.

I am passionate about what I do and genuinely enjoy helping out. I am a volunteer on the Ottawa eBusiness Cluster executive, Chair of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants High Technology Committee, key instigator with the barcamp and democamp series of events and volunteer with a number of other business related organizations. I have 15 years experience in technology with various business and R&D roles, and two years experience as a management consultant, have my CMC (Certified Management Consultant) Designation, an MBA from the University of Ottawa and a technology diploma from Algonquin College.
