The Burger Haven was a hole in the wall low volume burger joint when my Partner Glenda Monts and I purchased it. With in only 6 months, sales grew from 4 grand a month to over 48 grand a month. We won numerous best burger awards both locally and nationally. We then franchised the concept and opened a location in Surrey and Burnaby. Our best compliment was the huge line-ups of people from every walk of life. During our first year, I was instrumental in getting patio dining in New Westminster, after lobbying the local city Government for 6 months. It was this lobbying that brought us massive media exposure, and many new customers. Still in business today, it is one of the longest lived restaurants in the lower mainland.
