Marketing Writer and Community Manager at Ganz
Toronto, Canada Area
An avid programmer and writer, I've had a chance to play with and learn about many different areas of technology. Most of my work has revolved around the game entertainment industry.
For over two years, I wrote for Ars Technica, and I've been in the tech industry for more than four. I previously worked for a smaller news and op-ed site and then moved up to Ars. In these positions, I was lucky enough to cover events across North America and conduct interviews with some key figures in the industry.
I currently work for Ganz in the company's Interactive division, leveraging my experience with games to help the creative team develop creative briefs and an overall creative plan for forthcoming games.
My writing experience extends quite a ways back to the beginnings of my degree in Rhetoric and Professional Writing, and I have always taken pride in writing to the best of my abilities.
My goal is to continue to contribute to the tech industry with thoughtful writing that gets people talking and keeps people reading. That said, any time I can utilize my expertise in web design, application development, and graphic design to assist in the process, I will gladly do so.

BA , Rhetoric and Professional Writing, Computer Science , 2004 — 2008
I began my career as a Computer Science major, but decided after a year that I didn't like where my co-operative education jobs were taking me. I opted for a computer science minor, maintaining my knowledge and credits, and then switched into a program to follow my other passion: writing.
Currently, I hold a BA in Rhetoric and Professional Writing with studies in Computer Science.
