At Sonic Healthcare I was tasked as the lead engineer for designing and implementing a network redesign for specific sites from several different pathology and radiology business units that were to be segmented from the primary Sonic Healthcare WAN. Other project work involved the migration of existing sites from a legacy frame relay network to a new dual carriage, multicarrier WAN. This also included the deployment of new network equipment to align all sites with business infrastructure standards. Assisted with a large scale Enterasys to Cisco switch replacement project. Our team acted as the final point of escalation for all network related faults and activities.

During my employment I gained extensive experience with higher end Cisco switches (3700, 4500 and 6500 series) and wireless devices (Cisco Aironet, wireless ISRs, HWICs as well as Symbol AP’s and guns). In this role I was responsible for maintaining the highest of availability uptime to all users, bringing online new stores, testing network performance and introducing, implementing and testing new technologies to the account.
