In my current position at Aquashell IT Solutions my duties are wide ranging including environment configuration and release management, technology and social media strategy, user interface/experience design, and web application development. I am currently working primarily with two main clients that represent two groups within the United Nations.
During my time at Critical Mass I have worked in both the technical and creative disciplines for multiple clients. I was a part of the team that maintained the consumer portal for Mercedes-Benz of America (www.mbusa.com, Java/JEE) and one of the lead developers maintaining the customer portal for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts (www.hyatt.com, Java/JEE). I was also the technical lead for a social music sharing network created for Big Rock Beer (www.bigrockuntapped.com, PHP/MySQL/AWS). I have also contributed to creative and strategic work for multiple clients including Mercedes-Benz of America (won an internal award for an effort for this client), Big Rock Beer, Budweiser, and Adidas.
During my time at Expert Decisions (a company formed from a University of Calgary post graduate research project) I was tasked with coming up with user interface and application concepts to for a great application focused on formal social voting in a business setting to create viable release plans. I had the opportunity here to work closely with the CEO of the company and with third party partners on collaborative projects.

This included implementing a new Arabic user interface. Performed roles across the all stages of the software development lifecycle at this University of Calgary spin off. Performed application and web development/maintenance with PHP and Java with MySQL. Worked closely with the CEO to engineer requirements based on research done by the scholastic participants in the project.
The goal of the project was to create software that would use algorithms to analyze stakeholder voting input on the requirements of a project and generate optimized release plans. This position presented a need for above average capacity for mathematical concepts in order to create analytical and reporting components.
