Emerging media and big ideas
Toronto, Canada Area
Began freelancing as a digital culture writer in '98 while doing my Bachelor's degree. I was a speaker at the Australian Game Developer's Conference in 2000, 2002 and 2003. I was also interviewed by Australia's ABC Radio on narrative in interactive entertainment.
Working with Electronic Arts, Universal, Mattel, Nickelodeon among others, in 2005 I left interactive entertainment to spend time working in broader digital media.
2006 I spent working with Tribal DDB in Melbourne before taking a contract with the Australian Government, redeveloping an agency's digital communications. Following that I was Digital Manager at Hippo Jobs, a start-up in the job board space. I managed the product development and digital strategy.
I am currently working at Maclaren McCann in Toronto, Canada on the Nestle US (CPG) and World Vision (non-profit) lines of business, having previously been a part of the Microsoft account team. Just prior to leaving Australia I was Account Director with IE, a digital agency located in Melbourne, Australia. I was responsible for the digital creative and strategic work for Mars Pet (Whiskas, Pedigree, etc.) along with other clients in FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors.
