I am a freelance writer in Montreal, Canada. My writing has appeared in publications including The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, The Globe And Mail, Montreal Gazette, Toronto Star, Report On Business, Report On Small Business, Toro, Editor & Publisher, The Coast, In Touch, and the Sunday Herald, among others.
I write weekly columns for Hour, a Montreal weekly, and Columbia Journalism Review online, and am a former columnist and blogger for The Globe And Mail.
I'm also the founder and editor of Regret the Error, an award-winning site that tracks and reports on accuracy and media corrections. My first book, Regret the Error: How Media Mistakes Pollute the Press and Imperil Free Speech was published by Penguin Canada and Union Square Press in fall 2007. It won the Arthur Rowse Award for Press Criticism from the National Press Club. I'm also the co-author of Mafiaboy, which was published in fall 2008 by Penguin.
I'm represented by Don Sedgwick and Shaun Bradley of the Transatlantic Literary Agency. I also serve as the President, Quebec Chapter, of the Professional Writers Association of Canada and am a member of the Board of Directors of the Concordia Journalism Alumni Association.
