Chris Cummins’s Summary

One of my favorite quotes is by Henry Ford. This quote touches all of us because it is simple and yet true. I'm paraphrasing a bit...but you'll get the idea:

"Whether you believe you can OR that you cannot, either way you're right."

Some corporations seem to get everything right, and yet feel their staff are not energized. Many feel they were not able to successfully transfer their enthusiasm to the teams they have in place to help accomplish team goals.

As a career sales expert, I manage a growing practice providing professional public speaking solutions to corporations and groups who need assistance in meeting AND exceeding the increasingly challenging goals they set for themselves and their teams.

Most firms bring me onsite to be the initial presenter at their event, and to interact throughout the duration of the event. These may be groups between 5 and 500 staff.

I generally book 4-6 weeks in advance. I use lead time to really identify what my customer wants to accomplish. I know how much companies invest in large scale events, and how the right keynote experience is the best investment in the audience' positive testamonial. What do you want YOUR team to experience?

Here is a great example after the Toronto CFA society asked me to open their annual Leadership and Professional Development Day:

"Thank you for arranging an outstanding Leadership and Professional Skills Development day!

    If you've heard a better quote, send it to me...seriously! I've learned to become open to change. I'll tell you why:

    The professional areas where I have the highest core competency (speaking, motivating) come with constant feedback, (sometimes in the form of laughter and tears from audiences of 500 or more!). Essentially, I receive a strict performance review from my customers after every talk or keynote address.

    I've learned to be flexible. The reason I use that quote is simply this: that change really is the only certainty we have, and our ABILITY to become passionate about the natural change will determine our success. This could be either change WE initiate in our lives, as well as the changes other initiate FOR us.
