Operating in Canada since 1917, the United Way Centraide Movement today is made up of more than 110 local offices across the country.
United Way Centraide Canada, the national office, was founded in 1939. It plays a critical role in providing national leadership and membership support for the local offices. Together as a Movement, United Way Centraide engages community and mobilizes collective action. We create opportunities for a better life for everyone in our communities.
As a Canadian Movement with a strong heritage, we value trust and integrity, volunteerism, innovation, partnership, non-partisan leadership, and diversity. It is on the basis of these values that we improve lives and build communities.
